I just received an email from my buddy Sean about a business his mom recently started. She imports various doodads from South Africa, where she lived for 30 years.
Here’s the store URL: Absolutely Africa Designs
Looks like they have some pretty cool stuff. The sushiware, in particular, looks pretty rad. Here’s what Sean had to say about his mom’s new business:
As some of you may know, after retiring from her teaching job, my Mom, Leslie started an import business. Essentially she imports handmade South African glassware, oil lamps, candles and hand carved busts from South Africa (she is South African and lived there for about 30 years before moving to the states). To quote her website, “each piece of glassware represents a chance for South African women to not only provide for their families, but also to showcase their creative talents in African design within a positive, uplifting atmosphere.”
Having spent the past two years developing her business, my Mom now has a medium to showcase some of the beautiful pieces she imports from South Africa:
With the holidays around the corner I thought you and your family might want to take a look at her new site to see some of the pieces.
I hope you’re doing well, thank you for your support!
So, if you’re looking for a unique gift, or you know someone who is, please take a look at what Absolutely Africa Designs has to offer. I’d really appreciate it, and I know they would, too.
